School districts across Washington are facing the difficult challenge of negotiating fair and sustainable labor agreements while simultaneously managing significant financial shortfalls. This three-hour virtual training will equip leaders with practical strategies for balancing bargaining priorities with fiscal realities. Participants will learn how to communicate the district’s financial situation transparently with union leaders. The session will also highlight legal requirements, common pitfalls, and effective practices from districts that have successfully navigated similar challenges.
